Karen currently works in Global Medical Affairs focused on Health Care Economics, National Health Policy, Reimbursement and Payer Solutions for Medtronic’s Minimally Invasive Therapies Group (MITG) based in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Ms. Shehade has over 30 years of experience in a variety of healthcare settings. She brings specialized knowledge and recognized expertise as a Physician Assistant in Internal Medicine and Health Management Clinical Quality, and has applied this expertise to direct patient care, health plan management and most recently, the medical device industry.

Ms. Shehade has strong patient care experience in internal medicine and has held a series of roles in Clinical Management and Business Development at United Health Group, as well as series of progressive leadership roles including Vice President of Health Management Clinical Quality at Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts. Ms. Shehade broadened her scope and joined Medtronic, in December of 2014.

She holds an A.B. from Wheaton College, Physician Assistant Certification and a Masters of Health Professions from Northeastern University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Suffolk University.
